The Residence Maldives Falhumaafushi is located 242 kilometers south of Malé International Airport, opened in 2012 and completed a full renovation in 2019. The island can be reached via domestic flight from Malé International Airport to Kaadedhdhoo Airport (approximately 50 minutes), followed by a 5-minute speedboat transfer; alternatively, guests may opt for a seaplane, which offers direct access within 90 minutes. The island’s architecture follows traditional Maldivian design with thatched roofs and local handicraft decorations, combined with modern aesthetic elements from The Residence brand, such as wall art. Private butler service is available throughout the resort.

Accommodation options include water villas and beach villas, with water villas offering superior privacy, layout, and location compared to beach villas. Transportation around the island primarily relies on bicycles—guests are advised to reserve them at reception upon arrival. Free electric buggies (Buggy Cars) are also available, but they operate on a first-come, first-served basis, resulting in relatively long waiting times. Chinese language services are available; staff members possess basic communication skills and maintain a friendly demeanor.

There are three free Wi-Fi hotspots across the island: the second-floor library in the lobby, the Beach Bar, and in guest rooms. The resort is connected by a walkway to its sister island, The Residence D Island, enabling seamless two-island exploration. A new project to add water villa-based waterslides is currently under planning.

At the beachside bar, visitors can experience the island's unique charm.
