Maldive Central Grand, formerly known as Centara Grand Island Resort & Spa, will be rebranded as Machchafushi Resort & Spa Maldives starting January 15, 2025. Located approximately 70 kilometers south of Male, the island is accessible by seaplane. As one of the most historic all-inclusive resorts in the Maldives, it was once celebrated alongside Lily's Island, Robinson Island, and Dhebaru Island as one of the "Four Golden All-Inclusive Gems" in the industry, consistently offering budget-friendly vacation options for domestic travelers. The island is relatively small, taking about 20 minutes to walk around. It features two main swimming pool areas and two marine docks. Accommodation options include two-story family suites, while newly constructed overwater villas in Phase II come equipped with private pools. The resort houses a Thai restaurant providing cuisine with regional authenticity. Upon arrival, guests are immediately directed to the front desk area staffed with multilingual personnel who assist with check-in procedures and help arrange subsequent activities and dining plans. The second dock is located near the beach villa zone, adjacent to a seawall; diving directly from beneath the wall leads to a snorkeling site just 10 meters offshore, boasting a rich coral reef ecosystem and abundant marine life.

Island Advantages ① A long-established all-inclusive resort with comprehensive coverage of meals and activities. ② Despite its compact size, it still offers facilities for children’s programs. ③ Thai restaurant and Thai spa services cater well to dietary preferences of certain Chinese tourists. ④ Snorkeling site is only about 10 meters from shore, featuring excellent ecological conditions ideal for snorkeling experiences.
